The sea, sealed in resin

An ocean resin lamp is the closest thing we make to an aquarium that never needs feeding. Each scene is built in layers — sand and coral set by hand, figures suspended at different depths, then clear resin poured over the top in stages so the water reads as water rather than a solid block. Lit from a wood base, the blue carries all the way through the piece.

These are the pieces people buy for rooms they want to feel calmer in. The light is cooler than our dragon range and the movement in the scenes is slower, which makes them unusually good bedside lamps and the reason a lot of them end up as ocean night lights for adults rather than nurseries.

What is in the collection

Abyss is our hammerhead shark resin lamp — a hammerhead circling a sunken wreck in deep blue, the most dramatic piece here. Coralline sets whales above a hand-laid coral reef on natural wood. Mareluna is a whale and jellyfish resin night light, the softest and slowest of the five. Orca suspends an orca and a diver mid-water, our best-selling ocean diver design. Tidepool is the compact one: divers and a whale in a sunlit cove on live-edge wood, sized for a nightstand or a small desk.

Choosing one

For a statement piece, Abyss and Coralline have the most scale. For something quieter, Mareluna and Tidepool. If you are buying for a diver, Orca and Tidepool are the two that people who actually dive tend to pick — the figures are posed properly, with the right trim and fin position.

How they are made

Ten to fifteen days per piece, hand-poured in small batches. Every scene is composed individually, so the reef, the bubble trails and the placement of each figure differ slightly from one lamp to the next. Tracked shipping and 30-day returns on everything.
